We are incredibly excited to officially welcome you to The Fit Magazine. The Fit is an online publication founded by Lehigh University women for college students everywhere.
It is exciting to see what can happen when six college students come together with a like-minded goal. We all individually dreamed of starting a magazine platform to bring together university-age students to connect, collaborate and inspire each other. Quarantine became the perfect time to start this passion project, and The Fit has since been a work in progress.
We chose the name The Fit because we feel our magazine serves as an outlet to help you find your perfect fit to become your best self. We love the word fit, because after a simple Google search of the word, one finds numerous definitions. These definitions help to reflect how all of us are unique, and that we do not fit into one mold.
Our sections—outfit, beautify, fitness and benefit—all encompass and reflect our mission to help each individual achieve their best personal fit. Every section serves a different purpose to help you become your most confident self.
Outfit, fit (noun): the particular way in which something, especially a garment or component, fits around or into something, focuses on fashion, accessories and the latest trends.
Beautify, fit (noun): to make ready; prepare, specializes in makeup, beauty and self-care.
Fitness, fit (adj): sound physically and mentally, will give you tips on workouts, wellness and mindfulness.
Benefit, fit (adj): acceptable from a particular viewpoint, offers life hacks on all things college life, careers, friendships, relationships and more.
We are so excited that this dream has become a reality, and we can’t wait to see where this journey will take us all.
